Osaka is the third largest and second most important city in Japan that is situated in the Kansai region. It was formerly known as Naniwa, the previous capital city of the country. Despite being devastated in World War II, Osaka was able to rise and soar high boasting its fast-growing and developing city. It features a great combination of the traditional and modern Japan.

Osaka is rich in entertainment and performing arts. It is home to the National Bunraku Theatre, a complex consisting of two halls and an exhibition room where traditional puppet plays (bunraku) are performed.
