CHINA

China, with a modernized Shanghai and the ancient citadel that is Beijing, is a land of eye-opening and mesmerizing contrast. Traveling around China will open your eyes to a rich layer of antiquity; muse about the myths and legends of the Forbidden City at the very heart of Beijing; or relish the magnificence of the Great Wall. Get a glimpse of Nirvana at the tranquil Mogao Caves outside Dunhuang, or China’s best preserved walled town in Pingyao. Exploring China is like exploring the world, rich in ancient character and transformed with massive flyovers and multi-lane avenues throbbing with over three million cars. China is huge and diverse with a population of 1.3 billion. China is where mind-blowing peaks, fairy-tale formations, sand dunes, lush rice fields, exquisite beach and landscape define its territory.

Fixated with food, China has restaurants and eateries in every corner, whether it’s a local Chinatown dish being served or a lavish Peking duck on the table. Silk Road is aplenty with noodle houses and must-try are the spicy Hunan specialties. Taxis, high-speed trains in the subway, bus and minivans, and bicycle are the primary means of getting around China. Where entertainment is sought by anyone, Shanghai and Beijing offer popular watering holes for the straight and the not-so straight oriented.
